Pediatric Tumor Biology / Ultrastructural Pathology Fellowship

The Section of Pediatric Tumor Biology & Ultrastructural Pathology has a clinical fellowship in pediatric tumor pathology and diagnostic electron microscopy of 1-3 year duration.. Our fellows are primarily involved in signing out pediatric tumor cases and molecular pathology reports for translocations in pediatric sarcomas, perform frozen section consultations and participate in Pediatric Tumor Board discussions and teaching of surgical pathology residents. They also learn ultrastructural pathology and sign out electron microscopy reports. In addition, they participate in on-going research projects. The fellowship is not ACGME approved, but the combined clinical, molecular and research training of our fellows in the field of solid pediatric tumors prepares them for a successful academic career in pediatric pathology and translational research. Candidates must have a strong academic interest in translational research and solid pediatric tumors and must be board- certified/eligible in Anatomic Pathology.
