Patient Care at NOB

The diagnosis of a brain tumor can bring about a mixture of emotions for a patient and their loved ones. Reactions to such overwhelming news can range from denial and shock to anger and confusion. Many patients and families do not even know where to start.

The physicians and staff at the Neuro-Oncology Branch (NOB) understand what patients and their loved ones are feeling and what they need. We have the experience and expertise to provide patients with a comprehensive plan that, together with their treating physicians at home, will ensure the best treatment possible.

At NOB, we focus on the patient. The Clinical Center at the NIH Bethesda Campus is a 300-bed hospital dedicated to clinical research. It is a federally funded facility, and as such, all treatments and visits at the Clinical Center are at no cost to the patient. Patients and families can focus on treatment instead of cost.
